February 23, 24 and 25, 2007, is Troop 195's Winter Fun Weekend.
This event is geared to be a fun activity conducted in an open-schedule format. Typically, we include: sledding, tubing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing, hiking, outdoor skills and competitions. In the evenings, there will be time for games, story telling and just hanging out.
We've secured Walmsley Sawyer Lodge which will be our base of operation. Participants staying over Friday night will sleep in the Lodge. Participants staying over Saturday night will be strongly encouraged to sleep in tents, especially scouts of mid-to-high rank.
Younger scouts, not confident in their winter camping skills, will be given the option of sleeping in the lodge on Saturday night, although we encourage them to sleep in tents. Tents will be set up just outside the lodge for convenience.
Direct questions to Mr. DeAngelis or Mr. Rizzo.
