Sunday, April 15, 2007 is Troop 195's Rock Ventures Event.

Scouts and their families are invited to Rock Ventures. All climbing gear will be provided. A slice of pizza and drink is included as part of the admission fee, and more can be purchased. Credit for the Climbing merit badge is available as part of the event. Scouts under 12 can receive partial credit. Others can complete the entire badge in one day.

The event starts at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2007 and goes on for four hours.

Permission slips, directions and other information will be sent by email, posted on this Web site and brought to HNOJ meetings as we get closer to the event. Please note, permission slips and liability waivers are mandatory for attendance -- it's a liability thing.

The fee is $30 per climber. Non-climbing parents may hang out at the picnic tables with Mr. Kostin for no cost except beverages. (Mr. Kostin will be out of town.)

If interested, make your commitments for attendance to Mr. Flood by Thursday, March 29 at HNOJ to let him know of your intentions and to arrange payment.

Write checks to "Troop 195," and deliver directly to Mr. Flood. Alert Mr. Flood, if you have climbers under 12 years old.

For this event, transportation is not being coordinated centrally. If you are not attending as a family, please confirm driving arrangements for your kid(s) both to and from the event!

3/22/2007 Update: Please be advised that scouts under 12 will be able to return to Rock Ventures when they turn twelve and complete the merit badge at no extra cost. That means more fun at a later date, and if enough are under twelve and take the first part they will be able to return as a group and be together again.
